Kip grew up in a military family and lived in three different states. His family eventually settled into the hometown of his father, in the mountains above Fresno. Kip attended the same high school as his Dad and met his wife Lori there. After getting married in 1973 Kip and Lori raised 3 children and now have 8 grandchildren.

For 25 years Kip was a general contractor and owned a small cabinet shop building custom homes and remodeling kitchens. In 1997 Kip became a Correctional Peace Officer with the California Department of Corrections. After a 21 year career Kip retired in 2017 as a Lieutenant. After retirement Kip was asked by Phil and Windi if he would bring his experience to K6 Construction and supervise projects. Kip had planned to teach Criminal Justice at a local community college but after discussing it with his wife Lori it was clear that this was the next indicated step in their life.

This was a chance to work with his daughter Windi and son-in-law Phil and help them grow this amazing company. Kips supervisory skills, construction knowledge, and life experience are great assets to the company and positively influence the culture of K6 Construction.
